I'm writing this one for me.

"I sat down today, trying to decide which event I wanted to add to Erstwhile's list of offerings for May. The most obvious answer was to do a Mother's Day event. Something catered to all of the loving, supportive, beautiful Mothers out there. I started to write it. I put together a beautiful graphic and I even decided on the theme, "Seeing the Woman & Honoring the mother". Then I started to sculpt out the content, trying and failing to connect with it. Drawing on my relationship with my own Mother, who I adore. But something felt hollow in it. I can't sit in a room filled with women who have children and pretend to be able to hold that space for them. I am not a mother. I have never had children. I will likely never have them.
