What's is a "Happy Place"?

Your "happy place" is a term that many meditation leaders use to guide you to a place of peace. This is where the bulk of your inner guidance and self-discoveries take place. It's a place that is designed buy your own inner wisdom and brings you to a space of peace and healing.

But what happens when you have a hard time finding your happy place? 

Many of my students have a hard time picturing or visualizing their "Happy Place". Through a series of intuitive prompting and guided instruction, I'm going to help you paint your "Happy Place". 

What if I'm not an artist?

Number one, if you have the desire to put pen to paper, paint to canvas, or clay to counter, you already are an artist. Number two, you don't have to be a gifted artist in order to participate. We're not here to create masterpieces. We aren't here to judge or to be judged. We are coming together to give you a space to focus on when you do meditate, and you do any inner guidance work. 

How old to participants need to be?

Parents, I am leaving it to your discretion on whether or not to bring your children to this class. First, I have a few questions for you to consider before you decide. 

• Does your child possess the ability to listen to instruction and remain on task for a minimum of an hour's time?
• Would your child benefit from taking a deep look at their "Happy Place" and the introspection necessary to understand why they chose that particular place and what it means?
• Are they mentally and emotionally in a place where they are seeking meditation and guidance as a way to further their journey and heal as a result?
• Do they understand the purpose for this event?
• If you answered no to any of the above questions, it's likely that they aren't yet ready for this type of experience. The good news is that we are in the works of putting together a similar series of events designed specifically for children who are in need of some healing through art. 

What do I need to bring with me?

We have all of the supplies you will need but here are a few things to keep in mind. 

• Dress in clothing you wouldn't mind getting paint on. We won't be throwing paint or getting too messy, but accidents do happen, and we are dealing with the artistic medium of acrylic paint!
• Also, dress comfortably. We will be sitting in folding chairs for the duration of class. 
• Stay hydrated! Intuitive introspection can be taxing work, make sure you bring yourself something to drink. Snacks are also welcome! (We do have cold /room temp bottled water and hot herbal tea available for purchase at the shop counter.) 
• Come with the intention of being open and honest with yourself and with a non-judgmental mindset. We're not here to prove that we're the next Picasso, we are here to have fun and explore our Intuition and Subconscious.
