What is The Wild Woman Project?
Created by Chris Maddox, The Wild Woman Project is at once a philosophy (an invigorating approach to life as a wondrous, often messy, creative project) & a growing movement of courageous, creative, heart centered (often weird & wonderful) women on a mission to remember, to reimagine what it means to be a woman – untamed.
What is our Mission?
To awaken women to their most authentic, undomesticated nature, so they may feel like themselves, all the time, no apologies.

What to Expect from Each WWP Circle at Erstwhile:
Women Supporting Women - As women, we often times don't feel that we are ever given a safe container to express ourselves without judgement or in an environment designed to support us. Unfortunately, as women, we feel even less safe when men are present. This is why these circles are just for us. A space where we can laugh, scream, cry & feel the depth of those emotions without any fear, worry, or judgement.
Event Themes Inspired by the Moon's Zodiac Sign - These circles are not designed to dive deep into the astrological meanings of each New Moon's Zodiac Sign. But they ARE inspired by them. They give us direction and context. They help guide us into the next evolution of our journey.
Introductions - Get to know your sisters. Tell us who you are, and what brought you to circle this month. Let us see you and hold space for you to be exactly who you are, exactly where you are right now.
Guided Meditation(s) - We will always have at least one guided meditation per circle. It will be inspired by our theme and act as a tool to help us in our journey of healing and self-discovery.
Journaling - This part is completely up to you. We'll make time for you to record your experience so you can reflect back on it later. You can write, draw, doodle, take notes... whatever calls to you.
Shares - Sharing is an important part of what makes women's circles so magical. We are given the opportunity to share our experiences and allow our sisters to hold space for us while we feel all of our feelings. But there's no pressure. If you don't want to share or if you just can't in that moment, there's absolutely no pressure to do so.
Circle Talk - This is the part where we get to discuss our theme and get creative with it. Each circle is different, and so are the experiences and conversations shared in them.
Community - Whether we see new faces at circle or familiar ones, you'll be a part of a community of women that are feeling the same call to stand in their power. The call to heal what's broken and to allow an entire sisterhood of women to support you in that journey.
Sacred Trust - A Wild Woman Project staple. No experiences, shares, or conversations that take place in circle will ever be shared outside of circle. This is a pact we make at the beginning and end of each event. We promise to uphold a sacred trust that our sisters can lean on us without their experiences ever being shared.
